Northern Norway's richest man, Nordlaks owner Inge Berg, was not particularly keen to talk when we met him during a conference on offshore aquaculture in Oslo Tuesday, but eventually agreed to a short interview.

Berg and his children own 100 percent of Nordlaks, one of the world's largest producers of salmon. The magazine Kapital estimates Berg's fortune at NOK 11.6 billion (€1.1 billion/$1.2 billion), which makes him Norway's 23rd richest individual.

The 58-year-old paid NOK 88.4 million (€8.5 million/$9 million) in tax last year.
