Icelandic salmon producer Laxar Fiskeldi has selected Denmark-based aquaculture equipment supplier Akva Group to build it a new barge that holds 650 metric tons of fish feed.
The AC 650 Panorama vessel will be put into operation at the company's sites in eastern Iceland.
It houses 12 silos, has eight feeding lines along with a veterinary room, workshop, control room, wardrobe and cabin.
Laxar Fiskeldi is situated close to Akva's service station in Eskifjordur and already has a delivery and service agreement with the supplier for net equipment.
