Mowi's Chilean operations second quarter operational earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) climbed 65 percent to €25.3 million ($27.4 million), helped by higher sales prices combined with near stable volumes and slightly reduced costs.
The volume of fish harvested slipped 4 percent to 13,797 metric tons from 14,400 metric tons a year earlier.
Higher feed costs were offset by lower costs overall associated with a better-performing generation of fish.
