Two hooded gunmen attacked a truck driver carrying CLP 150 million (€167,000/$190,000) worth of salmon in the early mornings of July 7, reports Bio Bio Chile.

The heist happened near Mulchen in Chile's Bio Bio region. He was wounded in the leg as the gunmen intimidated him, tied him up and ran away with the load of frozen salmon.

After the assault, the truck driver alerted the police, who are working to clarify the situation.

The salmon driver received medical attention at the Nacimiento hospital.
