Genetically modified (GM) salmon producer AquaBounty narrowed its third quarter net losses thanks to higher harvests, but the market for the group's sales hinges on a small customer base.

AquaBounty posted losses of $5.4 million (€5.35 million) in the period, down from a $6.9 million (€6.84 million) loss last year, thanks to a 44 percent rise in revenues to $653,000 (€647,467).

The entire harvest of 122.2 metric tons -- a rise of 24 percent over the same quarter last year -- was sold.
