As Norwegian seafood exports crumbled for a second month in a row, France is boosting imports of Norwegian salmon as it foodservice sector gets a break from coronavirus-related lockdowns.

"After freedom of movement was restored on May 11, the export volumes to France have increased," said Trine Horne, the Norwegian Seafood Council Fisheries envoy to France.

"We can expect a further increase, as restaurants throughout France could reopen from June 2.
