Diesel spill halts harvests in busy Alaska pink salmon fishing zone

A prime fishing area for pink salmon has been closed as Alaska regulators assess the impacts from an oil spill.

The Outer Kitoi Bay and Izhut Bay Sections of the Afognak District were closed to commercial pink salmon fishing for several days in September to assess a spill.
