Despite salmon farming giant Mowi's 'significant' sustainability strides, reducing emissions remains a target

This week, global salmon farmer Mowi topped the charts in the latest edition of the Coller FAIRR Protein Producer Index -- a significant achievement for the group, and a strong signal that the sector has some significant wind at its back on environmental and social governance (ESG) issues.

The index assesses the sustainability performance of 60 of the largest publicly listed animal protein producers, making Mowi's No.1 ranking on the internationally-recognized benchmark significant, Catarina Martins, the salmon farmer's sustainability director, told IntraFish.
