Coast Seafood in Maloy, Norway, has been forced to stop exporting salmon to Ukraine given the impact of the Russian invasion on its main buyer, Universal Fish Company (UFC).

Russian bombs fell close to UFC's factory in Boryspil, near Kyiv's main airport, and its second factory in Kupyansk in eastern Ukraine was forced to close when Russian troops came in and occupied the city.

"The Ukrainian people have been put in a terrible situation by a completely ruthless neighbor," Coast Seafood Director Sverre Soraa wrote to IntraFish in response to the news.
