Chile President Gabriel Boric, a leading critic of the South American nation's salmon farming industry, has turned his fire on Nova Austral after its recent environmental law-breaking episode, but said not all salmon producers should be tarred with the same brush.
While "Nova Austral violated environmental law [and misused] funds gleaned from tax benefits this should not be a reflection on all salmon companies," Boric said according to financial publication Diario Financiero, citing a Vertice TV interview in Puerto Montt.
