The stakes are being raised in Chile's truck strike, which is severely hampering salmon exports to the country's main markets in the United States and Brazil.
The action which began at midnight on Thursday sparked by attacks on truck drivers in southern Chile, is now into its fifth day.
As the week began, salmon farming trade body SalmonChile confirmed very few consigments of salmon are reaching their destinations because access to main highways and airports in Chile is choked off.
