Cermaq notified the Norwegian Food Safety Authority on June 24 of findings compatible with Infectious Salmon Anaemia (ISA) on fish at its Maroya site in Northern Norway.

The suspicion is based on results of histopathological examinations performed at the Veterinary Institute, as well as PCR findings.

The Norwegian Food Safety Authority is planning an early inspection to do follow-up tests in order for the Veterinary Institute to be able to confirm the disease as ISA.
