The fate of 19 salmon licenses in British Columbia's Discovery Islands will be decided -- yet again -- sometime this month.

A federal judge sided with salmon farmers Mowi, Cermaq and Grieg last summer in their allegations that former Fisheries Minister Bernadette Jordan breached "procedural fairness" when she decided to shutter 19 salmon farms in British Columbia's Discovery Islands.

Canada's new fisheries minister, Joyce Murray, said she would revisit the decision this month and "conduct consultations" with First Nations communities and current license holders in the Discovery Islands.
