Salmones Camanachaca said its first quarter Atlantic salmon harvest came in at 9,163 metric tons at an average whole fish equivalent (WFE) weight of 4.7 kilograms.
The figure compares with 13,142 metric tons for the same quarter last year, representing a 30 percent decrease.
Chilean salmon producers are expected to see a double-digit reduction in production in 2021 because they placed lower numbers of juvenile salmon in cages.
