Benchmark's much touted new sea lice treatment cleared for commercialization in Norway

Aquaculture genetics, health and nutrition firm Benchmark's much-touted new sea lice treatment and water-purification system CleanTreat can now be sold in Norway after the company officially completed all the regulatory steps required for commercialization.

Benchmark announced Thursday that the Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) for Ectosan Vet -- product code name BMK08 --has been adopted into the Agreement of the European Economic Area (EEA) and entered into Norwegian legislation on July 15, paving the way for sales to start in Norway.
