Analysts predict boom in Russia's domestic salmon market

After 2022, Russia’s salmon market shifted to a reliance on domestic production due to a ban on farmed salmon imports from the Faroe Islands and Norway.

Estimates from the country's top consulting firm, Strategy Partners, suggest that by 2034, annual consumption of farmed Atlantic salmon and trout could increase by 44 percent to reach 283,000 metric tons.
