Norwegian land-based salmon farming group Salmo Terra will begin building its first land-based growout facility on Oygarden, just outside Bergen, in 2022.
The group signed an agreement with Danish aquaculture technology supplier Graintec, who will deliver all parts of the fish farm based on recirculation aquaculture system (RAS) technology.
In the beginning of 2022, the construction of the new facility will take off, and phase one is expected to be in production in first half of 2023, the companies said.
