Scottish seafood processors are teaming up with counterparts in England to present a united front and champion the sector on both sides of the border as Brexit looms, according to The Press and Journal.

Jimmy Buchan, business manager for the Scottish Seafood Association (SSA) – the trade body representing processors in Scotland – traveled south to meet representatives of Grimsby’s Fish Merchants Association and industry group Seafood Grimsby and Humber.

Buchan said there was plenty of common ground on a range of issues affecting the sector in the run-up to Brexit and beyond.
