Finnish processing giant Kalaneuvos announced a huge investment on Friday for one of its processing facilities, aiming to smoke 10,000 metric tons of fillets a year in order to accommodate growing demand. However, the investment is just a part of the family-owned business' plans for growth, particularly in the European market.

"We specialize in hot-smoked, and we see and we hope that there is a possibility for this to become an even bigger product in the European market," COO Toni Hukkanen told IntraFish.
