Six Chilean salmon processing plants are paralyzed in Quellon, Chiloe Island, Arturo Clement, president of trade body SalmonChile, told IntraFish.
This comes against a background of sometimes violent protests in Chile that have lasted nearly two weeks.
Among the affected plants some are running intermittently, others are partially working.
