Kamchatka-based Dobroflot Group is opening a onshore processing plant in the first quarter of 2020, following the completion of operational tests.

The new facility, located in Primorye in the Boljshoi Kamenj region, was designed to produce value-added products from pollock and other species caught in the Sea of Okhotsk and in the Primorje fishing zone.

“Equipment adjustment and preparation work for processing the frozen and fresh pollock and herring from the Primorye fishing subzone are now underway," Alexander Efremov, CEO of Dobroflot, told IntraFish.
