With the ongoing saber rattling between the United States and China over trade, Rabobank Analyst Gorjan Nikolik told IntraFish that among the impacts the seafood industry can expect is a major shift in the reprocessing flows that have defined the industry in recent decades.

Though US producers have secured exceptions from the tariffs for some US-origin products reprocessed in China, buyers of non-US origin products will have to find alternatives, as will suppliers around the globe sending product to the US market via China.
