Once the salmon is harvested and slaughtered from Marine Harvest’s Loch Leven farm it makes its way to the company's processing facility at Blar Mhor industrial estate near Caol, just outside Fort William.

At the moment the processing facility, which opened in 1987, is only involved in gutting the fish and packing it, and it is "in and out in five minutes".

It can handle around 55,000 to 60,000 metric tons of salmon per year, and has a maximum capacity of 70,000 metric tons per year.
