Patagonia SeaFarms -- the commercial joint venture between Chilean Marine Farm and Salmones Yadran -- recently started operations in its processing plants in Miami, after months of processing in third-party factories, Edgard Beyer, CEO of the firm, told IntraFish.

The company will process BAP 4 star-certified farmed salmon from its farms in Chile, as well as salmon from other producers in Norway and other seafood species -- both farmed and wild-caught -- at the plant, focusing on skin-pack formats.
