US-based Pacific Seafood is upgrading its Arizona and Texas distribution centers to hold more animal protein items, in addition to its seafood products.

Since 2009, Pacific Seafood has operated a distribution facility in Arizona that houses seafood and animal proteins, including beef, pork and poultry. But last year the company decided to upgrade to a new, 62,000-square-foot facility that could cater even more to its animal protein products, the company told IntraFish.

"As we grow we will continue to further utilize the full capacity of the facility by adding never-before-seen features like the addition of a USDA meat facility under the same roof," said Stephen Kelly, general manager of Pacific Seafood in Phoenix.
