On Aug. 15, family-run processing company Nils Williksen change its name to SalmoSea.

"The Williksen brand will continue through the sales and export company Williksen Export in Rorvik," the company reported in a release.

Williksen Export was established in October 2018 and started exporting in 2019, reporting sales of NOK 120 million (($13.4 million/€11.9 million) in its first quarter. The salmon exporter's main market is South Korea.

SalmoSea is owned by Midt-Norsk Havbruk, Salmonor and Bjoroya. The three companies are also the major buyers of the processor.

The Williksen family is indirectly a large owner of SalmoSea, through its ownership of NTS ASA, which is the parent company of Midt-Norsk Havbruk.
