Icelandic seafood processing equipment supplier Valka is supplying automated fillet lines to Insula subsidiary and seafood processor Baatsfjordbruket.

The new €4 million ($4.4 million) contract includes two complete systems, from trimming to packing, giving the group a big leg up in value-added processing.

The new production line will improve the company's competitiveness "in an ever more demanding market," said Baatsfjordbruket CEO Frank Kristiansen.
