Mowi's Marine Harvest Kritsen announced the construction of a temporary production unit at Lampaul-Guimiliau in France.
The 4,400-square meter plant will be used to develop smoked salmon products for the French market, while a more efficient plant is being built in Landivisiau.
The Marine Harvest Kritsen smoked salmon plant at Landivisiau was previously destroyed on July 11, 2018 by a fire which did not cause any casualties.
At the time of the fire, up to 95 percent of the facility was lost.
