The Insula-backed Danish canner Amanda Seafoods bought the Glyngore brand from Orkla foods Denmark, hoping to strengthen its position as the largest fish supplier in the country.
The announcement comes only a month after Amanda Seafoods announced plans to acquire Bornholms, another Danish canner.
Glyngore has been producing processed fish for both retail and foodservice in Denmark since 1940.
"With Amanda, Glyngore and Bornholm, we have the three strongest classic Danish seafood brands," Amanda Seafoods CEO Jesper Sorensen said. "We can hardly wait to discuss the sea of opportunities that opened up."
