Norwegian fish farmer Hofseth Aqua has rebuilt its processing facility in Alesund, Norway, and is expecting to double its total production volume. Current production is up to 12,000 metric tons of trout and salmon annually.

"Intense weeks of rebuilding are now complete and things are flowing properly," said CEO Roger Hofseth. "Our goal is to double our harvest in a couple of years. We are definitely on the right track."

Hofseth said the plant upgrade will allow it to handle not only more volume from its own farms but also increased volumes of fish from other farmers in the region.
