French supermarket chain Casino has pulled a line of "Saveurs d’Ailleurs" branded shrimp fritters because of a listeria alert for the second time in little more than a month.

Packs weighing 140 grams containing eight fritters have been withdrawn with consumers warned not to eat them and return them to the store where purchased for a refund.

The store brand products carry a bar code of: 3222477068551 with a consumption date of July 5, although the latest suspected listeria case has only just caught media attention.

No one at Casino was available for comment at the time of publication.
