The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) suspended the registration of seafood supplier Topway Enterprises banning the company from selling or distributing food on the back of health and safety violations.

The FDA and Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) found serious sanitary issues at the texas-based company's facilities including the presence of listeria in several samples obtained.

The FDA is in talks with the company to address the sanitary issues and will only let the company resume its operations once a corrective plan has been implemented.
