Cap Blanc Pélagique (CBP), a joint venture between Dutch fishing group Cornelis Vrolijk and Société Mauritanienne d'Armement Pélagique, opened a fish processing plant and cold store commissioned earlier this year in the port of Nouadhibou, in Mauritania.

The processing plant will be used for domestic supply of direct human consumption fishery products.

"We are one of the first large fish processing plants in Nouadhibou,” said Frido Werleman, CEO of CBP.

“At full production we supply around 500,000 healthy and affordable meals for the African population per day.”
