MAREL, which says it has sold many of its SensorX automatic bone detection systems for the poultry industry in the US and elsewhere, is continuing to develop its bone detector for fish.
'We've delivered a few systems for bone detection in fish and they are working very well, but we have not released the machine yet because we are still working on further improvements,' Kristmann Kristmannsson, Marel senior manager of seafood and aquaculture solutions, sales and marketing, tells Seafood Processor.
Marel's SensorX fish bone detection system automatically identifies bones and other foreign objects in fish fillets.
