A blaze hit a seafood processing plant belonging to Pesquera Camanchaca subsidiary Camanchaca Pesca Sur in Chile on Thursday, which local media reports said caused devastating damage to the site.

Pictures from local TV station 24 Horas showed firemen standing next to burned-out installations at the site, which is situated in the south-central region city of Talcahuano, where it processes horse mackerel.

The alarm was raised at 11:00 am local time, according to a report by Television Universidad de Concepcion, which shows video pictures.
