Lithuania's Viciunai Group, one of the largest seafood companies in eastern Europe and one of the world's biggest surimi producers, has pledged to fully wrap up its operations in Russia within the next few months, having faced earlier criticism for taking too long to exit the country in the wake of the Ukraine war.

In addition, negotiations with potential buyers of the business in Russia are "intensively underway," CEO Sarunas Matijosaitis said in a statement.

The termination of the business in Russia, the negotiation of agreements with business partners from Western countries and the recovery of investments in Lithuania could be completed within three to four months, said Matijosaitis.
