Stavis Seafoods has appointed David Lancaster as vice president of sales as part of its executive leadership team.

Lancaster joins the Profand Group-owned multinational fishing company and seafood processor, bringing more than 30 years of experience in sales, management and the seafood industry.

He will manage the sales team, overseeing sales strategy and also be charged with leading the company’s multi-channel sales campaigns.

“His vast experience in seafood, operations and product innovation will help us better identify and execute on new opportunities, as well as enhance our ability to meet customer needs," said Stavis Seafoods Board Chairman Juan Manuel Gomez.

Lancaster worked as sales manager for Boston-based Stavis in the early 2000s, helping to boost sales by 50 percent before leaving to start his own business, Interbay Seafoods in Falmouth, Massachusetts, the company said.
