Spanish group Worldwide Fishing Company (WOFCO) has acquired 45 percent of major Argentinian shrimp supplier Continental Armadores de Pesca (Conarpesa), reports Revista Puerto.
The Conarpesa Group is one of the largest exporters of wild shrimp in Argentina and now, through its partnership with WOFCO, is expected to expand its presence in the international market for ready-to-eat products.
Founded in 1977, the company operates a fleet of 22 coastal and deep-sea fishing vessels and owns four processing plants in Patagonia.
