Spanish seafood processor and trader Scanfisk has signed an exclusive sales agreement with Vigo-based frozen tuna processor Atunlo to supply European retail and foodservice channels, the company announced.
Scanfisk, based in Zaragoza, is traditionally a whitefish supplier with a heavy focus on fresh products, but is now looking to up its game in the frozen segment across Europe.
As part of the new strategy the company has brought in Imanol Almudi, the former general manager of Iberconsa, to head up the project which will initially center on the Atunlo factory in Cambados.
