Icelandic fishing, aquaculture and processing giant Samherji has cut operations at its UA and Dalvik processing plants by almost half as part of efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Only 50 percent of staff are working at any one same time, with employees instructed to report for work on alternate days, Kristjan Vilhelmsson, Samherji's managing director of vessels operations, told fishermen in an update letter seen by IntraFish.
