Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday remotely inaugurated Russian giant JSC Gidrostroy’s new pelagic processing plant on the island of Shikotan from the Far East Economic Forum in Vladivostok.

The new processing plant has the capacity to grade, pack and freeze 900 metric tons of pelagic fish a day.

The facility is powered by a turnkey solution by Icelandic processing technology supplier Skaginn 3X.
