Plant-based seafood startup begins building manufacturing facility in Chicago

Chicago-based Aqua Cultured Foods is developing plant-based versions of calamari, shrimp and scallops.

“Since the new location already meets all the key regulations for food production, we can scale manufacturing quickly, and product introductions with our go-to-market partners will follow,” Aqua Cultured Foods CEO Anne Palermo said.
