Labeyrie-owned UK salmon processor Farne Salmon and Trout has suffered an outbreak of COVID-19, with so far 8 members of staff testing positive for the virus at its plant in Duns.
The Duns factory is now amongst the biggest smoked salmon facilities in Europe with a core workforce of 700 people.
Close contacts are being advised to self-isolate and other identified contacts are being followed up and given appropriate advice, said NHS Borders.
