New Bedford, Massachusetts-based Northern Pelagic Group said a growing customer base and market for pet food is behind its decision to build a new plant in northeastern Pennsylvania.
The company's 70,000-square-foot processing facility, scheduled to be open later this year, will be complemented by a 25,000-square-foot cold storage facility.
