Iceland Seafood snaps up Five Star Fish site, merges divisions

The company will merge the Iceland Seafood Barraclough and Havelok businesses and spend up to $8 million to refurbish the Five Star site.

Iceland Seafood International has acquired the former Five Star Fish site in Grimsby, where it plans to merge its Iceland Seafood Barraclough and Havelok businesses.

The company will invest up to £6 million (€6.9 million/$7.7 million) on a refurbishment before moving the operations to the site, which has three processing areas and cold storage space for 2,000 metric tons of products.
Work is expected to completed by early 2021, and the company is expecting to add new jobs at the site.
