Canadian frozen seafood giant High Liner said it has built enough Chinese-processed product inventory to see it through at least the opening five months of this year.
CFO Paul Jewer confirmed the development in response to an analyst's question about High Liner's ability to cope with any shortfall in supplies stemming from the coronavirus global health emergency that began in China, but which is spreading to other countries.
"We are not anticipating a significant disruption in our supply at this point unless things get worse than what they are today," he said.
