Grimsby-based processor JCS Fish is launching new hot smoked salmon and trout fillets under its BigFish brand.

The new products will initially be available through its customer Mindful Chef, the UK recipe box home delivery service, and soon also on the company's website.

The UK processor has seen some dramatic shifts since the onset of the coronavirus crisis.

In normal times, JCS would see a 90/10 split in its business slanted towards wholesale and foodservice with the remainder targeted at retail, but executives have had to be quick on their feet with the foodservice industry largely decimated by shutdowns of restaurants, cafes and bars.
