French fish trimmings company Copalis unveiled plans to invest €17 million ($20.2 million) in an expansion of capacity at its Boulogne-sur-Mer site in northern France.

Copalis specializes in reprocessing fish left over after the filleting process in Europe's largest seafood processing hub.

Besides engaging in R&D work, the company supplies frozen products and premium value-added marine ingredients for the nutraceutical, functional food and animal nutrition markets, cosmetics and wellness firms.
