Danish whitefish processing giant Espersen will keep production fully up and running at its plant in Russia as long as possible amidst the ongoing crisis with the war in Ukraine.

The company has operated a plant in Russia since 2014.

When Russia was first hit by sanctions that same year following the annexation of Crimea, Espersen made the plant “fully Russian” to avoid any problems.

All raw materials such as blocks or fillets used in the plant come from the Russian fleet in Vladivostok, and all ingredients and packaging also come from Russia, making the operations 100-percent supplied by Russian products.
