The Newfoundland-based company has also cancelled the last shipment, ordered in the week before the invasion began on Feb. 24, the company said Tuesday after informing customers in Europe and North America.

Minimal quantities of cod available from local Newfoundland and Labrador fisheries means Icewater Seafoods relies on Russian and Norwegian cod to support the processing work of its 225 workers.
